SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is a standardized protocol used to collect and organize information about managed devices on IP networks.
SixthSense supports the following SNMP protocol versions: SNMPv1, SNMPv2c, SNMPv3 (secure version with authentication and encryption)
SNMP GET Monitoring enables SixthSense to retrieve operational metrics and status information from network devices using the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).
SNMP GET operations allow the system to query specific Object Identifiers (OIDs) from monitored devices such as switches, firewalls, servers and other SNMP-enabled infrastructure components. This monitoring method is widely used for infrastructure visibility, performance tracking, and fault detection in network environments.
