SNMP Monitoring

  • SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is a standardized protocol used to collect and organize information about managed devices on IP networks.
  • SixthSense supports the following SNMP protocol versions: SNMPv1, SNMPv2c, SNMPv3 (secure version with authentication and encryption)
  • SNMP GET Monitoring enables SixthSense to retrieve operational metrics and status information from network devices using the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).
  • SNMP GET operations allow the system to query specific Object Identifiers (OIDs) from monitored devices such as switches, firewalls, servers and other SNMP-enabled infrastructure components. This monitoring method is widely used for infrastructure visibility, performance tracking, and fault detection in network environments.
