Viewing open alerts

  1. Login to the SixthSense Observability portal.

  2. Click the Alerts    icon on the left pane.

  3. Select a capability from the the Search capability: drop-down list.

  4. Select a service from the Search service drop-down list.

    The Open alerts tab is selected by default as in the following screen.

Add Alert

The alerts page displays the following details:

NameDescription
Alert nameThe name of alert you have specified while adding an alert.
MetricMetrics used to monitor an application.
Total alert countNumber of times the alert triggered.
OccurrencesHow many times the configured alert occurred.
Latest occurrenceDate and time the last alert occurred.
Triggered onThe date and time the alert triggered.
StatusThe status of all the alerts is Open. Toggle the button to Close. Selecting close will ask you to confirm. In the Close alert window click Close. You cannot undo this action. A new alert will be created again if the threshold condition is met again.

Multi-column Filter

  1. Multi-column filter can be applied on numeric columns within the Open Alerts Table to refine the displayed data based on specific conditions.
  2. When the user clicks on the “Filter by” option, user can apply filter below numeric columns

  1. Each filter condition is applied using the below operators and value ( user input based on the unit)

Open Alerts table multi-column filter
  1. Once filters & conditions are applied save button is enabled & click "Save" to apply the filter.
  2. Once filters & conditions are applied it displays no. of filters are applied. number of Filters
note
  • Filters are applied using AND logic — all specified conditions must be met for a record to be displayed.
  • Only numeric columns support filtering; non-numeric fields (e.g., text or categorical values) are excluded from the filter options.
  • If no records match the selected filters, the table will display a message such as “No data".
  • The multi-column filter state persists until the user clears filters by clicking on "Clear" button when Filter by button is clicked.
  • A "Reset" button is available to clear all applied filters and restore the table to its original, unfiltered state. This button is enabled only when one or more filters are currently applied. Reset Button
