Creating grok patterns

1. Click + Add drop-down list and select Grok pattern. Enter the details in the Create grok pattern window.

   

Field	Description
Grok pattern name	Enter a name for the grok pattern.
Source	Select a source for the grok pattern from the drop-down list.
Tag	Select a tag for the grok patterns from the drop-down list.
Grok pattern	Enter a grok pattern in the box. For more information about writing grok patterns, see Writing grok patterns.

2. Click Create.

Note: Adding a grok pattern will update an existing grok pattern.
